Lesson ۴ - Services

توریست می‌پرسد Where is the post office؟ و تو بلدی بگویی near here، اما وقتی می‌پرسد What time does it open؟ یا Why does he go to work by bus؟ ناگهان ساختار سؤال درهم می‌ریزد. فصل ۴ انگلیسی نهم خدمات شهری را بهانه می‌کند تا Wh questions و ساعت کار و شغل‌ها را درست بسازی. در نردبون چند مدرس درس Services را کار می‌کنند؛ مدرسی را انتخاب کن که مثال‌های پست، پلیس و آتش‌نشانی را ملموس توضیح می‌دهد.

Conversation؛ کارت پستال، پاکت و تمبر

مکالمه بین Pedram و یک tourist است. توریست می‌گوید Excuse me sir! Can you help me please؟ و Pedram جواب می‌دهد What can I do for you؟ نیاز توریست ساده است: I want a postcard, an envelope and a stamp. Pedram راهنمایی می‌کند: you can get them from a post office. بعد مکان: It’s just round the corner. و ساعت: It opens at 8.

این دیالوگ الگوی کمک‌کردن در خیابان است: عذرخواهی مودبانه، پرسیدن نیاز، دادن مکان نزدیک، گفتن ساعت باز شدن. Role Play پایانی درس دقیقاً می‌گوید دربارهٔ services in your city حرف بزن و از همین مکالمه پیروی کن.

Practice؛ Talking about Services

Practiceها مخلوطی از Wh و توضیح شغل/مکان‌اند. سؤال‌ها را ببین: What is her job؟ Where is the post office؟ Who’s that man؟ When is the break؟ What time does it open؟ When do they work؟ Who helps lost children؟ Where does she buy stamps؟ Why does he go to work by bus؟ How do you come to school؟

جواب‌های مدل کتاب کاربردی‌اند: She’s an employee. It’s over there. He is a postman. It’s at 9:30. It opens at 8 in the morning. They work from Saturday to Wednesday. The police help them. She buys them from a post office. Because it’s fast and cheap. I take a bus.

واژگان خدماتی درس

• حمل‌ونقل: get on a bus، get off a bus، hire a taxi، recharge the E-ticket
• بانک و پست: take out money (ATM)، open an account، send an e-mail
• اضطراری و راهنما: call the emergency (115)، ask the information desk، put out fire

هر فعل را با یک سؤال Wh جفت کن: Where do you take out money؟ Why do people call 115؟ When do you recharge the E-ticket؟

Language Melody؛ آهنگ افتان Wh

این بخش روی falling intonation سؤال‌های Wh کار می‌کند. مکالمهٔ Clara و police officer را گوش بده: Excuse me sir! I’m lost. — Don’t worry. What’s your name؟ — Where do you live؟ — On Main Street, near the gas station. — Don’t worry. I can take you home.

تمرین‌ها: What’s your name؟ How old are you؟ Where do you live؟ Why are you here؟ When does it open؟ Who is that man؟ در Talk to Your Teacher عبارت I’d like to know about … برای شروع سؤال مودبانه خوب است.

Grammar؛ Wh Questions و قیدهای تکرار

جدول اول ساختار What/Where + is/are را نشان می‌دهد و مثال می‌دهد: Who is your best friend؟ What do you study؟ — I study French. Where do you live؟ — We live in Marivan. What does your father do؟ — He teaches English. When does she wake up؟ — She wakes up at 6.00. Who helps children؟ — The teacher helps children.

جدول دوم: When/Where/Why/How + do I/you/we/they go؟ و برای he/she با does. نکتهٔ مهم انگلیسی نهم اینجاست: بعد از does فعل به شکل ساده می‌آید (wake، go، work) نه wakes.

See also قیدهای تکرار را با درصد می‌آورد: always (٪۱۰۰)، usually، often، sometimes، never (٪۰). مثال‌ها: They never come late. She always studies hard. I always wake up at 5:30. He often plays outside. جای قید معمولاً قبل از فعل اصلی و بعد از am/is/are است.

Find it؛ گفت‌وگوی آتش‌نشان

باید Wh Questions را در مکالمه پیدا کنی. Parsa می‌پرسد What’s your favorite job؟ Hamid می‌گوید I like to be a firefighter. بعد: What does a firefighter do؟ — He puts out fire and saves people’s lives. — When does a firefighter go to work؟ — on shifts. — Where does he work؟ — At a fire station. و در پایان Is there a fire station near here؟

Tell Your Classmates می‌خواهد پنج چیز دربارهٔ services بگویی. مثال راهنمای Listening هم هست: I recharge my E-ticket every week. از خدمات واقعی شهرتان مثال بزن تا واژه‌ها در حافظه بمانند.

Listening و کارت پرسش‌وپاسخ

Listening بخش A شغل کسی را می‌پرسد: What does he do؟ Where does he work؟ When does his work start؟ بخش B دربارهٔ Amir است: He is a …؟ He works at …؟ When does he go to work؟ What time does he work؟

کارت A سؤال‌های شخصی دارد: What’s your name؟ What do you do؟ How old are you؟ Where do you live؟ What time do you wake up؟ Why do you learn English؟ When does your school start؟ جواب‌ها را روی کارت B بنویس؛ این نزدیک‌ترین تمرین به مصاحبهٔ کوتاه کلاسی است.

Review 2؛ جمع Lessons 3-4

Review 2 جشن‌ها و خدمات را با هم چک می‌کند. باید بتوانی بگویی We wear … و Iranians … و بپرسی Do you celebrate …؟ همچنین Banks open at … و Firefighters … و Police … و سؤال‌هایی مثل What time do …؟ Where …؟ What …؟ Why …؟

در Grammar Review جمله را به سؤال و منفی با Does عوض می‌کنی (Mary enjoys… / Alex helps…). بعد برای Mike studies… و Clara drives… سؤال‌های What/When/Who/How/Where می‌سازی. بخش possessive و adverbs of frequency هم دوباره می‌آید؛ همان‌هایی که در درس ۳ و ۴ خواندی.

اگر Whها برایت روان شد، برو سراغ درس ۵ Media که ناگهان وارد گذشته می‌شود: Did you watch…؟ What did you do last week؟ برای نقشهٔ کامل سال هم صفحهٔ انگلیسی نهم را باز نگه دار؛ Services حلقهٔ اتصال زندگی روزمره به گرامر سؤال است.
