نوروز که می‌رسد، فارسی راحت می‌گویی «معمولاً می‌رویم خانهٔ بزرگ‌ترها»؛ اما انگلیسی‌اش می‌شود We normally visit our relatives in Norooz و باید do/does را هم درست بچینی. فصل ۳ انگلیسی نهم جشن‌ها و آیین‌ها را بستر simple present می‌کند: از Haft Seen تا Nature Day و عید فطر. در نردبون چند مدرس این درس Festivals and Ceremonies را تدریس می‌کنند؛ یکی را انتخاب کن که مثال‌های فرهنگی را با گرامر قاطی نمی‌کند و جدا توضیح می‌دهد.
Conversation؛ نوروز، هدیه و غذای عید
Elham و Nasrin دربارهٔ تعطیلات سال نو حرف می‌زنند. Elham می‌گوید I just love New Year holidays! و Nasrin موافقت می‌کند. بعد می‌شنوی We normally visit our relatives in Norooz. It’s fun! سؤال Nasrin کاربردی است: Do you get New Year gifts too؟ جواب Elham: Sure! We usually get money. Nasrin هم می‌گوید We always go to my grandparents’ houses. و وقتی می‌پرسند آیا مادربزرگ غذای عید را می‌پزد، جواب منفی دقیق می‌آید: Actually, she doesn’t. My mother makes it.
این مکالمه دو چیز را هم‌زمان یاد می‌دهد: واژگان جشن، و تفاوت don’t/doesn’t در جواب واقعی. قبل از Practice، همین دیالوگ را نقش‌بازی کن تا آهنگ سؤال‌های Do you …؟ در دهانت بنشیند.
Practice؛ Talking about Festivals and Ceremonies
Practice 1 روی does تمرکز دارد: Does he recite the Holy Quran at the turn of the year؟ Does your father give you New Year gifts؟ Does she have many friends؟ Does your mom make a special food for Norooz؟ جواب‌ها: Yes, he does. / No, he doesn’t. / Yes, she has many friends. / No, she doesn’t make a special food.
Practice 2 جمع و گروه را با do می‌پرسد: Do you buy new clothes for the New Year؟ Do you and your cousins set the Haft Seen table؟ Do young children color the eggs؟ Do Chinese people buy goldfish for the New Year؟ جواب‌های مدل: Yes, I do. / No, we don’t. / Yes, they usually color them. / No, they don’t buy goldfish.
عبارت‌های تصویری جشن
- آشپزی و میز: make lunch/dinner، bake a cake، set the table، clear the table
- آیین: hold a ceremony، sing the national anthem، wear special clothes
- فرهنگ ایرانی: watch fireworks، read poems of Hafez، go out on Nature Day
هر کدام را با قید تکرار بساز تا به Grammar بعد وصل شود: We always set the Haft Seen table. She usually bakes a cake. They never clear the table late!
Language Melody؛ Yes/No با do/does
کتاب می‌گوید به rising intonation سؤال‌های Yes/No با do/does گوش بده. مکالمهٔ Sam و Shayan نمونه است: Do you like spring؟ — Yes, I like spring a lot. — Do you like rainy weather؟ — Oh yes! But not on Nature Day. چرا؟ Because we always go out on 13th of Farvardin.
تمرین‌های بعدی: Does it rain a lot in Tehran؟ Does she cook lunch؟ Do you tell stories؟ Does he like spring؟ Does she eat nuts؟ در Talk to Your Teacher هم عبارات تبریک هست: Wish you a great holiday! و Happy New Year!
Grammar؛ Simple Present و صفات ملکی
جدول Affirmative نشان می‌دهد I/We/You/They like New Year holidays و He/She likes … مثال‌های املایی مهم کتاب را از دست نده: We study English. Yasin reads a newspaper. Ali watches TV. Zahra studies her lessons — یعنی he/she معمولاً s/es می‌گیرد.
Negative: I/We/You/They do not buy new clothes و He/She does not … شکل کوتاه: I don’t play tennis. Zahra doesn’t wash the dishes.
Question: Do I/we/you/they buy goldfish؟ Does he/she/Hamid buy goldfish؟ بخش See also ضمایر ملکی را می‌چیند: I→my، you→your، he→his، she→her، it→its، we→our، they→their و با جمله‌هایی مثل He cleans his room. She studies her lessons. They eat their lunch. تمرین می‌دهد.
Find it؛ Ahmed و عید فطر
باید simple present و possessive adjectives را در متن پیدا کنی. متن می‌گوید Ahmed is from Turkey and he lives in Istanbul. Fitr Eid is an important religious holiday in his country. He likes this day a lot. It’s on the first day of Shawwal. On Fitr Eid, Muslims don’t fast. They say their Eid prayers before noon. In all Muslim countries people hold the same ceremony. مثال راهنما: I really like Fajr Film Festival.
Tell Your Classmates می‌خواهد پنج چیز دربارهٔ Festivals and Ceremonies بگویی؛ ترکیبی از نوروز ایرانی و یک جشن دیگر بساز تا واژگانت محدود به یک مناسبت نماند.
Listening؛ یلدا و سال نوی دیگر
Listening بخش A دربارهٔ شب یلداست: What do they eat؟ What do they listen to؟ Do they stay home at Yalda Night؟ بخش B سال نوی دیگری را بررسی می‌کند: Does the New Year start in March؟ Does it change every year؟ What does everyone wear؟ What do older people give to children؟ اینجا دقت کن که جواب‌ها ممکن است با نوروز ایرانی فرق داشته باشند؛ گوش بده، ترجمهٔ ذهنی نکن.
کارت‌ها، Role Play و آماده‌سازی Review 2
کارت A سؤال‌هایی مثل Does your grandparent tell you stories؟ Do you wear special clothes on New Year holidays؟ Do you visit your relatives؟ Do you get gifts؟ Does your father work on holidays؟ دارد. جواب‌ها را روی کارت B بنویس و بعد Role Play کن: دربارهٔ national and international festivals حرف بزن.
این فصل پل مهمی به درس ۴ Services است؛ چون آنجا هم حال ساده می‌ماند، اما سؤال‌ها Wh می‌شوند: What time does it open؟ Where is the post office؟ اگر do/does اینجا ضعیف باشد، خدمات شهری سخت‌تر می‌شود. برای دیدن جایگاه جشن‌ها در کل کتاب، به انگلیسی نهم برگرد و مسیر Personality → Travel → Festivals را یک‌بار مرور کن.
